When I acquired my D13000 gen set I was equipped with a 32v Delco 50MT starter which is not original to the engine (Serial # 1N1160)
I believe this engine was originally equipped with starter part # 4B2643 which appears to be a gear reduction type starter. I have the support bracket and nose cone for the original starter as well as part # 6B2189 which is the starter motor contactor.
Looking for a complete original electric starter motor assembly dead or alive...

Good luck finding an original gear reduction 32v starter. My parts book shows 1N1712-up using a 50MT 32v direct drive inertia type starter. That's with the bevel gear drive. Also could use a later 50MT with direct mount solenoid with bevel drive gear conversion. Check to be sure yours has the e a SAE #3 standard flange mounting.

The starter that was on the unit when I bought it was the 50MT with the direct mount / shift solenoid, not the inertia type. It does have the bevel / helical drive pinion gear.
The first picture below shows that there is already the SAE 3 adapter plate mounted on the bell housing. The second picture shows what I believe to be the nose cone from the original starter. This nose cone along with part # 4B2522 (Bracket) and # 4B2826 (Band Assem.) were tucked under the base of the gen set when I went to remove it.

Never know, might get lucky and stumble on one somewhere.
