Out of a 8T grader with D318. pn#4f8517 Have some heavy water cavitation erosion. Looking for good used. 1 or2. not sure yet.

I used some from Regal in a 9u about 10 years ago no problems with them. A automotive machinist that is generally very fussy recommended them at the time. They were Italian made then,but who knows today. I think about $30 each.

Regal and other aftermarket sources are in the tech library,on menu page at the bottom is tech library and at bottom of the section is Sources.

Look for after market early one piece 2-1/8" diameter chambers, part #2S1273.
Later versions are 2-3/8" diameter.

Found an aftermarket at Regal in TN. Had to buy the injector retainer nut also. All for less than $35. + ups. 2s1273 is 2 3/8 they said. Thanks.

I don't believe that is correct. The 2S1273 is 2-1/8" diameter non glow plug chamber for the early heads.
Lots of misinformation about chambers on the net. Guess we'll find out when your order arrives. Let me know.

This is what I have:

The parts books list chamber assembly 4F8517 for 8T1-8T21904,, two different books, 8T1-14781 and 8T14782-21815. The cross reference shows chamber assembly 4F8517 as crossing to either 2S1273 for 8T1-11041 or 1S1967 for 8T11042-21904.

Even CTP doesn't know their own products and Regal is just as bad.
Their parts charts show 2S1273 as using a glow plug????

Machinery trader crosses 4f8517 to 2s1273 with no mention of size. My machine 8t6995 is a 1949 I am told. The preahamber is 2 3/8 diameter. I told the guy at regal that the diameter was 2 3/8. He said yep. I will call them Monday and see if I can confirm that. Need to get this thing running again asap. Oldmagnet could you confirm that 8t6995 is a 1949 yr mod?

My info shows 8T6995 to be a 1951 model. Could be your unit has had a head change.
The head 1H7659 (casting # 7F7878) changed to larger chamber bore at s/n 8T11041 (1952), Continued use of the 4F8517 chamber was accomplished by going to a larger diameter retainer. The aftermarket one piece larger diameter chamber eliminated the larger retainer.

Going to call Regal when they open Monday morning hopefully before it is shipped and have them confirm that what I want is 2 3/8 inch.
