Recently, thanks to the ACMOC forum, I now have a freshly machined pony crank. The next step is to find suitable con rod inserts.
My original pony crank had inserts for 0.030" under standard. These were Clevite CB 388 B.
The replacement crank has been machined 0.030" under as well. The problem is I have found no one who has or can cross the Clevite number.
I was hoping not to make custom inserts. Anyone know of a source for 0.030" under rod inserts? Cat only has a part number for 0.020 under in the parts manual.

I got caught a couple Years ago thinking I could Buy 30 thou under from Cat , Whoops , only 20 thou. My Machinist Man , looked outside the Box and Found Morris Minor Brgs to Fit Just had to a Shim of the sides. Works perfect. Not sure which Morris Minor But that should give You a good leed. Lets know how Go . If You can't do any good in the States I could get them here for for you and send over the Pond,. LJ

Holt Cat Dallas, Tx. was able to get these in a few days. Cat branded, solid aluminum.
