I don’t know I realize that I don’t really want to cut up the shaft I was going to use in my grader because it has a bad joint but I was wondering if if was possible for u to steer it in the same place thank you

If you mean turn the wheels with the grader sitting still, the one we had turned them just fine.

If you didn't want to cut the shaft, just get the modified shaft along with the power steering unit. Ours had the pump mounted under the cab floor run by a belt from a pulley added to the PCU driveshaft just before it goes into the 90 degree gearbox that turns it up to go into the bottom of the PCU with all the levers on it. You will need that pulley or the whole joint etc.

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

The power steering on my 212 is a one finger operation so I always try to be moving at least a little when I steer as I think the little steering box takes a beating when I steer setting still. Charlie
