No one at the last club meeting needed another project so I am offering this to ACMOC members next. Not mine. I have to many projects myself. Trying to help a longtime family friend out. Up for sale is a 15B Bucyrus Erie dragline complete with both mud and dirt drag buckets. The cab is tweaked up on the upper left side of the operator from the cables slapping it. It does not look like a tough fix at all to replace the angle iron. The boom has it share of tweaks and bent angles but it is still working. The undercarriage and draw works look good and I was told that they work well. It has a pony start Cat engine in it. The engine serial number 3U2930. I never started it but the owner tells me it will start right up. There is some noticeable end play in the pony crankshaft. It will need some attention before long so the mag does not break. I can buy the 15B for $1,000.00. The 15B is owned by a friend of my friend. Here's the kicker. My friend has a factory new, nice patina, never been installed, shovel front for the 15B. About 25 years ago he bought a new 22B shovel front for his 22B dragline from the owner of the long closed Bucyrus Erie dealer in Duluth. When he picked it up at the storage yard he was told to not leave without taking it all. He had bought everything that was left wither he wanted it or not. So it has sat at his place, still brand new, waiting to go on a machine. I can buy it for $1,500.00. At this point they will only sell them as a pair. I want nothing to broker the deal other than a good picture to share with them when its done. I just don't want them to end up in the scrap yard. My friend is 87 years old, time is ticking. I can store them if needed for a club member. I can get some pictures soon to a interested party as the snow is melting.
