Looking for an engine for a 50's d9. I will get model number as soon as i can. From what I have seen online it's a D353. Any information is appreciated. Thanks

Fresno Tractor in California has two D9 18A's torn down that show to still have engines in them:

I have a D353D s/n 46B1282. Unsure how much of it would interchange with your D9 engine. Supposedly the engine was running when taken out of service, and then later scrapped. I bought it from the scrap yard. I drained the oil, looked good, and removed and cut the oil filters. No sign of any metals in the filters. 10284 on the hour meter. Block cast # is 1M7480.
$500 and I can load it on a flat bed.
I just tried to bar it over, and can go about 60° both directions before it stops. It did turn 360° when I bought it. Been setting too long.

Possibly coming up against a stuck valve?

I pulled the valve covers and checked the valves, non were stuck. I messed with the pony clutch lever and high low lever, moved them back and forth. Now I can bar it over. !!??
