I just purchased this online from GSA. I'm interested in selling if I can work a deal that gets me out of doing a 550 mile recovery. I've got enough projects going now and some quick clean hands profit would help getting them done. If I go get it I know I'm going to want to keep it. The unit is located in Chillicothe Ohio. Crothers was a big Canadian Caterpillar franchise back then and they likely had the gen and cabinet/skid engineered for their build. I haven't laid an eye on it yet but the story is 10 years storage in that yard after 30+ years prior as backup power for an Ohio DNR Nursery site. Not too sure about the first 25 years or much beyond the photos. The property custodian also said it was 1952 dated, looked complete and they had forks for flat deck loadout. Engine serial # is 4V6017. This community is were this belongs so I'm posting it. $1,500 is my number.

I wasn't a bidder but the crew cab was at $2,200 the last time I looked. That seemed high to me.

Genset is sold pending arrangements.

I want one just cause i always wanted a crew cab dodge. But square body pickups are at a premium for some reason. I wish i had all the chevy, dodge, and fords back i sent to their fate. Id be poor boy rich for a day or two.

I'm never getting rid of my 1985 5/4 ton Chevy M1028 and that restomod is one of the projects that got ag-mike his new electrical set.

Interesting that the generator has both 50 cycle at 1,000 RPM for European use and 60 cycle at 1,200 RPM for the USA.
