Teds family has decided to do an online only auction. Here is the link.

gobidtoday.hibid.com/catalog/143073/11-2...lups-estate-auction/

They don’t have all the stationary engines listed. I assume they’ll add them later.

Happy bidding.

Hi All. I see they have added some of the stationary engines that Ted had. They all run so far as know. I’m sure there is more to list. I’ll update if I see any more lots.

6 days out,
looks like some very nice old iron. Does anyone know a good shipping source coming south? Doesn't have to be all the way down to northern Arizona, just getting closer helps.
Also does anyone have experience with The Billups collection that could weigh in on the restorations, they do look incredible!!

Teds stuff is pretty nice, not everything is 100%correct but it’s pretty close. Ted was a lifelong Cat mechanic, so function always took presidance. You’ll see modern spin on fuel filters on some of the diesel tractors. For instance, on the Buckeye Trundaar, he didn’t have a hood, radiator or fenders. Nor did he know what they looked like. So I think he used a cletrack radiator, and built a hood to match. The fenders came from something else.

Of course I wasn’t there for every nut and bolt, but I wouldn’t be scared of anything there.

Hope this helps

That RD7 was one of the last tractors Ted redid.

Spoke with the auctioneer, said a 2 week window for pick up and removal, and they were not working with any shippers at the local level. I am interested in finding a shipper and or someone who might be able to get auction items off site safely and to a place to hold till I can arrange shipping myself. Happy to do straight business at a fair rate, PM me if anyone can help.
Thanks,
Mark

Wonder what the price of shipping would be on the RD7 from ID to So.cal.? Anybody in the lower CA looking at any items? Wonder what the approx weight of the RD7 would be.
