New here. Trying to find out how to price a friend's 1922 Caterpillar 2 ton crawler. Motor is loose. Been in storage for 20+ years. Complete and in good shape.

If you still have the brass tags check the serial no. A 1922 would be a T-35 later became Holt Two Ton, then mid 1925 became Caterpillar Two Ton.
Depending on how worn & complete w/correct parts like carb, mag, pre cleaner, air cleaner, all the sheet metal a none runner goes from $500. to $2500.
A T-35 or Holt will have more value.
I see them a auctions here and they don't bring alot. I wish the would, I have (4) runners and have had (10) in the past.

Thanks for the info. I'll let my friend know the score. The Cat (?) was his grandfather's. He got it in the 1920s for logging. It replaced the horses he'd used to pull trees out of the woods. My friend will most likely keep it now, for sentimental reasons as well as not being worth what he thought it would bring.
