Hi all. I need a GOOD water pump for one of my D2s. Mine is weeping out the hole; never rebuilt one before, not sure of parts availability. Any out there for sale? Thanks. JM

I would first look into rebuilding your water pump, parts are available, the seal is a bellows type, and it's a more rebuild friendly design than the J model with the packing that runs on the shaft.

If you need a hand we have done them before all parts are available. Hope all is well in your area.

Thanks John P., maybe I was being lazy. Appreciate the offer, not a major issue.
Your F-350 lube truck is still waiting. Tell me when to deliver. The color is a perfect match for your operation. Juiceman.

Hi JM, I just rebuilt my D2 5U water pump 3 times chasing a drip out the weep hole, all the parts including seals and bearings available off the shelf from Cat, around $50 for the bellow seal, job is fairly straight forward, you are probably wondering why it took me 3 attempts, turned out the shaft had a slight hoof in it, but hey, you will never hear me bragging about being the smartest guy on the farm..... My suggestion is avoid the Cat Classic Parts on the new bearings, the bearings are cheaper but they have fewer balls, I went for new sealed bearings on the shaft too, so I could avoid the greasing issue. Easiest way to remove the pump is pull the radiator off.

Deliver it down when you pick up the 22`s or my truck still knows the way to Northern Ca.
