Looks to be very salvageable and get running again.

For those considering this in the lower 48, It is surprising how in-expensive freight from AK to Seattle or Oakland is. At one time I priced shipping a Cat AP100 paver from Fairbanks to the Oakland port and it was under $650. It would cost me more for the last 250 miles to home.

Something looks off in that picture - the hood doesn't seem square, as if the radiator assembly is not the original and is too tall.

Neil, About half way between the exhaust and rad, looks like a dent in the hood making the straight lines go away. I have had other tractors like this.

I see what you're saying Herb but I would expect the height of the hood at the front of the fuel tank and at the rear to be more or less the same, even with a dent in the middle - maybe the tank is drooping?

Yes, the tank does look about 2 in low in the front

The Cool factor is the pads!
It has good hitch mounts on the rear. Those are rare to find!
Excellent Manifolds, not all cracked.
He does say he can get a little "Puff" out of it trying to start.
So it may run with a little coaxing?

I've e-mailed him and left my number but no call yet. He only lives a couple of miles from me. I might just knock on the door one of these days.
