Did he say what his hurry is?Seems like he could make more selling parts than selling scrap.

I believe the land will be for sale this summer, but don’t quote me.

You'd think Chad would go up there to see what he could salvage after all the guy is willing to sell for scrap price soon.......

Hey Bruce...did you get any back story on this place? :confused2: Very interesting mix of brands for sure. It would be a shame to see usable parts going to scrap.

As I understand it, the old fellow had a used parts/used tractor business. Maybe some repairing too. He would buy stuff that no one else would at auctions then bring it home to sell/part out. Problem was that the price of his stuff was out of this world and he wouldn’t deal much, so stuff just accumulated. He passed away with no children so other relatives are trying to clean it up to sell the place.

The fellow that you call in the ad is a friend of the family helping out.

I think that’s pretty much it in a nutshell.

After going through all the pictures (thank you Peter C), I see some "Holt" stuff like winches and at least one dozer blade. Who made them and is there a link to Benjamin Holt?

Interesting story that after getting stuff cheap at an auction it suddenly turns to "gold" to the point of it never selling as it is "worth more than that." Now it is a burden to those left behind and on a tight timetable to get it all out of there. I doubt the cost of moving it off the property will be covered by the scrap price it will bring. Yes, I vote Chad should go do some "reclaiming' there.

Well now, you just never know what the answer is going to be when you ask a question on this BB! Good info there!

I think I know the answer to this one however. Will your Sweed blade be at the June show?
