Looking for Front Track Covers for D2 5U

I am trying to find the front track covers for my D2 5U. These are the ones that cover the track adjuster nut. I'm not sure if I am calling them the right thing.

Thanks.

You'll have to get them made as they're very rare and everyone wants them, and they're different between the U and J series unfortunately. If you decide to get some made, I'll be in as I need a pair for my 5U. If someone had a pristine set, it would be worth taking the extra week and sending them to the 3-d scanning place to get the files made up. Then they can be punched out by a forming machine

Cheers,
Neil

I had these made here in Australia 18 months ago using a D2 4U set kindly lent to me, be aware the later D2 series has slightly longer track frames so the rear cover is longer, but I'm pretty certain the front cover is the same, my local Cat Dealer supplied copies of the original blue prints for fabricating those longer covers which I haven't done yet but will.

I took my D2 track frames to my Sheet Metal guy so he was able to check his handiwork as he went along, check around for prices, the guy who lent me his old covers was quoted $1,200 for the new covers yet when he went to pick them up the Sheet Metal shop wanted $1,800 because of the work involved making them, I reckon Sasquatch or one of the other good guys on the Board might have made a set 5 or 6 years ago, he uploaded photo's of how he did it.

Neil and Mike,

Thanks for the heads up. If I come across a set, or if anyone has dimensions available, I can check with one of our employees, who's dad runs a major custom metal fabrication shop. I'll check to see if they could fabricate them if given the dimensions. I'll keep everyone posted if I find out anything.
