These should be right side up.

The flipped photos usually has to do with taking photos with an Apple product without using Apples "approved" orientation, then using a Windows based computer to display them (like our servers). Apple products have software built in to always display the photos upright, but that software doesn't translate to Windows or Android products very well.

Apple assumes that you'll always take photos with the device held in landscape orientation with the lower control button on your right. In your case, you likely took the photos with the device held landscape, but you probably had the control button on your left.

As long as you're using an Apple device to view the photos, you'll never notice because the device will always flip the photo to display with the top up. Windows or Android display devices though will default to Apple's "assumed" orientation.

The easiest workaround is always hold your Apple device as Steve Jobs intended when taking photos. Second easiest is send them to a Windows or Android device and rotate them to be upright, then re-save them. From then on they'll display correctly on any device.

Pete.

Thanks for the detailed explanation and the photo re-orientation, Garlic Pete. I knew the picture orientation problem was an Apple-to-Windows compatibility problem, but I have never had it explained so clearly.

Your explanation is what happened, I have an iphone 7 and being left handed I hold the phone so I don't hit the kill switch inadvertanly. Thanks for helping me get the listing straightened out.
