I realize this is an old thread but with these older machines getting harder to source parts for it's worth a shot. I just picked up an HT4/D4 SN 7U10342, will one of your mags fit the pony motor on it? I got a parts manual but I'm not seeing where it specifies the exact part number for my model year. I think it's a 3S2987 from internet searches which ends up being a WICO XH2823S. The one that came on mine doesn't have any tags on it and had been converted to an exterior coil which I don't want.

The HT4 magneto is AMERICAN BOSCH but the WICO magneto 4s6471 fitt on too and they are counter clockwise and the 3s2987 is clockwise and use on D7E

Yes it's been confirmed by McDonald Carb by pictures that it's a MJK (none of the tags are on it). I'm working on shipping it their way to have it gone through. Thanks for the input, I'm holding off pull starting the HT4 since it's been sitting for 10+ years for now.

Just for grins I checked the WICO 4s6471 part number on parts.cat.com and they have 9Y-3555 as a replacement number. The paths and rabbit holes we go down searching for parts.

gemdozer, do you happen to have any of the WICO or American Bosch mags left?

I am still have a MJK magneto in working condition
