I have a 1941 D2 3J I am parting out. It ran about 1 year ago - and the clutches all worked. I was told by Oil slick (who test drove it) the engine had a miss.
Most of the parts are there, but contact me with your needs to see if I have what you need.
Thanks !

I will take a look tomorrow and send you a text.
Have you checked with a caterpillar dealer - maybe still available ?
Thanks

not knowing how far you are willing to part out, what condition is the transmission?
I would be interested in all gears inside the transmission. I will be needing 2, 3, and reverse real soon.
My boys run this unit a lot and it has thousands of hours on it due to 50+ years of farming.

Couple of things regarding the tranny gears. I never drove this tractor. I know it ran and moved.
But I don't know anything about tranny operation. Don't want to split it open to check with winter coming
So the short answer is no gears at this time. Sorry
Sheet metal ( fenders, hood, radiator,) pony motor, tracks, etc
Thank you

chriscokid - I can probably help you. We moved the Pomeroy trove of D2 parts to Moms a while ago. I haven't had the time to go through, inventory and photo to respond to everyone who responded with interest. I'll do that soon. When I do that, there is a complete rear case with sprockets and all there. I'm pretty sure that it is from a J series. If it is, I'll get you the numbers and we'll see if those gears will work for you.
Anyone else interested, I hope to start working through those parts soon. There is just about everything for D2s, both J and U series, except roller frames and undercarriage stuff.
Pete.
