Should be able to pull 3 phase by just tapping one leg. 1 phase is just one leg of 3 phase.

You woln't be able to get the rated capacity though, probably only about 1/3 for one circuit and it's not really great for the machine to have load on only one leg.

However, if you have multiple circuits you could wire it to feed 1 phase to each and get closer to rated capacity from the combined total. You would just have to make sure each circuit is isolated - ie one leg to feed the house, 1 to feed shop, etc.
