D7 Hyd. Tube was created by d100ljb
Good afternoon,
My name is Landen and I'm with Carter Machinery in Virginia. CAT Technical told me to post here that maybe yall could help out with a part for an old D7. It's a 48A09089, D7 with a 173B Hyd. arrangement (more info available if necessary). Anyway, I am looking for a 9S-2183 hydraulic tube for this D7, it's a RH lift cylinder tube assembly (hyd. blocks on each end with 2 tubes in between). Being so old, CAT doesn't have anything available and after checking, there's nothing used out there either. I have a diagram of the tube, if need be, I was supplied with by CAT. Any help or direction yall could give me would be a huge help, thanks a lot!

What's the Hydraulic Control s/n and blade s/n. That part number doesn't seem to show up for that s/n D7.
Edit,
9S2184 does show up as a service group replacement for a 6J1859 (RH) original tube assembly.
Used on 48A6393 -up D7.Used on 72F4006-up, 59F3109-up, 42G320-up Blades.

The field replacement is for a Type 1 cylinder, and was used on the Type 2 cylinder.
Has nothing to do with the 173B Hydraulic Control

I had to get CAT to send me the original invoice of the machine in order to find the machine's arrangement and then break it down so I could find this part number. From everything I've looked at, 9S-2183 is the correct part, I just need to source one or have one made etc. But in case you want it....Blade ser# 59F04189 and hydraulic ser# 35H01410. Thanks for your help, sir.

9S2183 is the correct part number. 9S2184 is the group number.

Gotcha, thanks for the confirmation. Any idea where I might be able to find one or possibly have one made?

Here's a bunch of machines that are dismantled for parts, they should have one. You can prolly buy the whole cylinder cheap enough.
