WTS: Cat D2 Crawler Tractor w. Dozer was created by WallyD25U

1948 Caterpillar D2-5U Tractor. Runs good with 5850 hours on the machine. Very good home built dozer blade with new hydraulic pump. The rope-start pony starting engine was just overhauled with new main bearings, rings, seals, valves and guides and a new carburetor kit. This pony engine starts easily, runs well, and IDLES! The main diesel engine starts and runs well and will burn only about 1.5 quarts of motor oil in a 10 hour day (holds 5 gallons in the crankcase). Drives, steers, and stops as it should. Tracks and under-carriage worn but usable as a farm dozer for a considerable period of time before required replace/rebuild. Included in the sale is like-new seat cushions and arm rests, the original track adjusting wrench, the injector air-bleed wrench, the hand operated under-carriage lubrication pump, and the original manuals for Operators Instructions, D2-5U Parts Catalog, and D2 Servicemen's Reference Book. $3500 or make offer.
