Bmr,

I can't tell if you are offering just a shaft or does it include the crank? And for which model D8?

I need a crank for my 14A that would be similar to "deep socket with a hole drilled through it about 1" from the end with two slanted channels machined from the end into the hole lying at a angle". It would need to fit into the 90 degree pinion drive in the front of the starting motor. The crank pictured in the parts book 4H4359 doesn't look right. I borrowed a crank from off Pete Bloom's DW-21 while we were at Santa Margarita Show which fit just fine and did not have the spring as pictured in the parts book.

Andrew,

I think you are right. The sale item should be "crankshaft" and he confused me by making it two words. Regardless, having the model number of the D8 would help a lot. I was running a 13A yesterday that has the pony CRANK attach to a separate SHAFT going through the hood and down to the pony so my frame of mine was on that.
