I don't think I've seen a D311 tag like in that top photo. All the power unit tags I've seen have script like in the lower two photos, more tall and skinny letters. That first photo kind of looks like a cast tag, rather than pressed tin, and the letter shape, which matches the Caterpillar name on the side of the plate, is quite different.

If that tag is cast rather than pressed, that would make me think it is older. The letter shapes, however, seem more modern to me than the lower down photos.

Anyway, I like that first one. It would be a good wall hanging, if it weren't that someone probably will need it on their tractors.

its a later side, the tag is stamped steel with smaller lettering, it might be going to England.

p.s. none are broke, but there are broke bolts on a couple.
