Cable Blade Manual (1940's D7)

I have a 1940's D7 with a rear-mounted cable blade winch. I have a manual for the D7, but also need a manual for the cable winch. It is getting difficult to get the winch to raise the blade. I assume I need to either adjust it or replace parts, but need a manual (or good advice) to do either. Any help appreciated.

Welcome Opalminer, if you post your location you might find someone local from the ACMOC Club who can help, I'm sure the Experts here will chime in soon.
Regards
Mike

Welcome to ACMOC opelminer. Glad to see you made the trip over. Lots of good knowledgable Cat people on this site. I know we got some members and there is a ACMOC Chapter or two up in your area.

If I remember right from HEF you are in the northwest. If you click on your profile you can edit it so your location shows up in the right hand corner of your posts.

Thanks, everyone for your responses. I drove back out to my claims where I have my 1940's D7 with the rear-mounted Letourneau PCU and got the Model and Serial numbers (see above). I have the parts catalog for the unit, but really need a service/operating manuals and am willing to pay for either a scanned version or a hard copy (I just need the information). I understand there are a lot of adjustments that can be made to the unit--it definitely needs some fine-tuning. It raises the blade and lowers it, but there's too much play on the control. By the way, this is a working machine--I'm using it to mine on our claims in Virgin Valley, Nevada (about 30 miles west of Denio). If any of you ACMOC members would enjoy seeing, photographing, and possibly driving the D7, come out sometime and see it. There's a lot of old equipment here and it's in pretty good shape due to the dry climate. I'm here during most of the mining season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), but contact me first to make sure.
So, please let me know if you have copies (scanned or other) either the service or operating manuals available for sale. thanks!

Yes, it's a LeTourneau, Model R7C. do you have manuals for it? Specifically, either service or operating or both. Willing to pay for either scanned copy or hard copy, but prefer scanned. Thanks

is this what you need? It's a rear-mounted PCU, with only one drum working--it raises and lowers the blade on my D7. thanks.
