The part you are calling a pony muffler is really an exhaust rain trap.

Here is a source for that part.

Parts Book shows 3B6232 to Fit D2's and R2's , However it must change to 3B6217 , I have Bought several, ,ask for "Classic parts " they are Cheaper and do the Job just Fine, for memory they were about $60 odd AUD and the Clamp about $27 AUD and were readily available from Dealer out here .
As for the Pony Exhaust / Rain Trap ,I suggested to the ACMOC Board when I was on there that they maybe should look into getting these made as there is a demand for sure , But all these bits take time and Money to Organize . LJ

Wow, thank you, I'll call my dealer, I should've asked them but "ASSUMED" it would no longer be stocked by a dealer. My bad!!

Always appreciate the great help here on the board.

Check your serial #, the early pony rain traps had a smaller inlet than the later ones, at least for the D4's they do. Gary

OK, I'll check exhaust pipe size, .....thank you.

MY D2 is one of the first 4U's, 1947 production .... 4U 466.

Best,
Dan
