Go get it. I'll come haul it for you. You can practice for a while and we'll bring it to Santa Margarita in 2017 so you can show us all how to do it!
Pete.

Tom and Pete,
Thanks for the heads up and all, BUT, unfortunately I do not have the funds. I am "doing good" to be able to go the Santa Margarita this year.
See you all there in a short time. I will arrive at the hotel Thursday the 26th. Then my education on Push Cat and operating a scraper will begin.

I also have it posted on this site. Tom, you are not looking at it wrong, it is sized for a D4 or maybe a D6. I had it attached to the 7 to move it. Ed

Ed,
I saw a D8 14A with a cable blade and hydraulic ripper sitting next to a junkyard southwest of Kingman along I-40 in 2014. It was very close to the steel coil facility. Do you know anything about it? As I remember it was not complete with some parts missing.

There was a dozer at Smith Salvage, just south of exit 44, which is south of the steel mill. I am sure it is still there. I have not looked at it, so cannot comment on its condition. The owner is retired, but I run into him or his son on occasion. I will check it out and post. Ed

Took a ride to look at the dozer. It is missing the front CCU. The rails and bushings look good. Some of the pads are missing, broke, bent. If you are interested, PM me for the owner contact info. Ed

All,
Regarding the condition of that blade, brings a serious question to me. If someone were to purchase it, is the face of the blade repairable WITHOUT a HUGE amount of work, like welding a new face on it?
With that thought, are there companies that can or do provide that type of steel plate?
I feel sure that is the case but I wanted to ask.
