They still sell the OEM gauge at my local Cat Dealer (Holt Cat in Stockton, Ca.) for less then the Stewart Warner part. Part number 3H-3344. $44.89.

Is the OEM gauge you mention still being available the early LARGE diameter gauge or the later smaller gauge?

I need a gauge for my 1947 D2 and it takes the early larger version.

Thanks for any information ... I have tee'd in a smaller later gauge but to correct, ... I need to find a large face gauge.

Has anyone used any of the sources-responses , listed here?

Found it amazing tht one person found one on ebay?
Also, I didnt know that one could be had from a Cat Dealer for about 45.00?
I would be happy to pay that much for an orginal. Are all the different D2 years, use about the same gauge?
thanks for any replies, jamesemu

i just googled 3h-3344--numerous ones--$7 to $20--if they are the small diameter Cat sells a bezel that fits on it to give you the large diameter

Hi Team,
from tests test done at The Dealer in 1963 :-
Red Panel covers ...zero to 6 psi
White Panel covers ... 6psi to 10 psi
Green Panel dead centre ..15 psi

usually the gauge will go to full needle travel at pressures well below the system maximum of around 28 to 30 psi.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
