Hey Guys,

My Husband and I are in search of Good D7E Final Drive parts. Specifically a Dead Axle, Bull Gear Hub and Spanner nut. Just taking a wild chance maybe someone out there has some parts in storage.:D We actually need a lot more final drive parts just trying to locate large hard parts.

Thanks for any help!

Tammy

I may have all those parts. How far are you from southern Missouri?

if you can't locate parts here, try searching for "dismantled machines" but be forewarned, they want TOP DOLLAR for anything they sell. (For example, they all want $2000 for a 988 wheel...but a brand new aftermarket one is $2500.)

We are located in North Central Florida. But may make a road trip if the price is right.

Hi Tammy and Carl,

Welcome. Because Cat changed so many things over the development of their model lines (like the D7 for example), it's always best to provide the serial number of the machine. 47A is a good start but is it an early or late numbered 47A?

I've got a dead axle and several bull gear housings available; which side bull gear housing do you need (LEFT or RIGHT side as you're sitting on the tractor)? I think the nut is still available aftermarket.

Also, what other hard parts do you need? I've got some extras that I would sell-including a bull gear and a push frame.

Thanks,
-nate

Welcome to ACMOC CarlMathews, 47A1 through 47A3395 are the 160hp version and use smaller dead axles than the later model 180hp version. Some of the gears and other parts do show to interchange. correction: The D7E 48A powershift final drive parts will interchange, 48A1 through 48A6882 would also be the 160hp version.
It is important check the donor tractors serial number and your parts book carefully.
I suggest that you change your profile settings to show your hometown or at least your general area on your posts, it saves time and avoids confusion.
I hope you find your parts,
Craig

Thanks to all that replied. We have found all parts we need. We have 47A early and 47A late. We own three, this one was the late model. I will look into changing profile as suggested. Things have been quite hectic with the breakdown coming during the Christmas Season. There is always a panic to get parts ordered and shipped before everyone shuts down.

No worries Carl,

I'm glad you were able to find the parts...I'm in need of a couple pieces myself.

Merry Christmas!
