Went out to the farm and checked the number and it is a Delco #1105124 12V This Cat is only used for small jobs and a little farming or snow plowing so do'nt want to get carried away cost wise.If I can't keep it original will probably convert to an alternator.Thank you for the help. What's the Delco number of the Generator?
If it's a Delco #1105155 (Cat #1S150) there are plenty of #1S6232 armatures out there.

Guess it helps to be able to read my own writing.Number is #1105129.Had the tractor over 40 years and only things I've done to it is solid front idlers, hyd track adjusters and front half rock guards. That is not an original generator. #1105124 comes up as a 55-62 GM car that has a power steering pump mounted on the end. Armature #1945899 superseded by a #1940313.
Looks like yours has been serviced before.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
