I thin the oil pan and oil pump pickups are different, there may be some other subtle differences, my grader experience is limited, my d318 service book covers all d318 engines, most of th pictures show an industrial stationary engine. the specifics would be found by comparing the appropriate parts book for the 9u and the grader that you are getting the engine out of.

I would say that the basic block, rods, crank, pistons, head injection system and pony would be the same. the pony controls in te flywheel housing would be similar internally, but may have different levers on them in a grader, water pump may also be different, but from what I have seen, the rad and water pump appear to be the same between the two. pony manifolds may also differ slightly, I know I have 3 d318s here from 9u's and every one of them has a different exhaust manifold, they are all interchangeable with some other pieces, but you can swap them between different units.
