Hi all i am fitting a electric starter group (9b4268) back on my RD4 and the issue i am having is that the small pulley and housing is hitting the dash that i am fitting, the old dash was lent forward and a hole was cut to fit the air cleaner.

So what i am asking is there a special instruction to fitting it or just cut a hole and if so is there a cover that goes over the hole and what would the part number be? or would some have to sell.

I have included a photo of the raised area of the dash in question

I've seen some folks plasma cut a very nice hole that matches the shape of the starter housing, and others have made up a removable plate so they can get at the adjustment

Cheers,
