Chapter 16 would like to take this scraper on as a project for the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum where we are hosted. Both front tires are gone so we're looking for some 18:00 x 24 used tires that still hold air so we can move this Letourneau LP scraper around. We will only drag it through a parade so it will never be loaded up. If anybody has any leads, please let us know.

I'll give that a look. I am not knowledgeable about tires so I meant to say in my post that anyone who could tell me which modern tires would mount on the old rim would be most helpful. When you start searching the net for equipment tires, the number of sizes used is mind boggling.

Thanks for responding. If I recall correctly, you were the man I met at Santa Margarita who had access to tires coming of Fort Leonard Wood.

That is a good price - FREE. But as you note, the cost to get it out here would kill the deal. Besides, we'd need to find another one like it. I have located a source for two used 19.5 x 24 tires for $50 each a little over an hours drive. Probably will go that route. Thanks for posting.
