It was in Holland, Michigan. About an hour away from me. It was listed on craigslist as an "Old Cat Dozer". I stumbled onto the ad by accident after it had been on for over a month.

When I bought it the tractor had been repainted 10 years before and stored in a building ever since. When I went to look at it the hood was still off (for paint) but the main clutch and starter pinion were rusted and stuck. Water had gotten inside the clutch housing, probably from pressure washing before paint. Also, the pony motor "Mag Needle", as they called it, had no spark. I told the owner that all they had to do was clean the oxidation off the points but instead he had his Auto tech grandson try to fix the mag. Magneto was COMPLETELY disassembled and several parts were broken in the process. I bought the D2 as is and fixed it myself (had a spare pony mag already at home).
