well I got my torn apart cat toolbar cylinders back, 50 years of wear on them.
I didn't spend the 500 dolor's they wanted to re-seal them.
Brought them home. In the future, I think I can buy new rods and seals made to order.
Barrels, I could have cut off and new welded on. so Ill store them for a while.
Went down to County line equipment in fife wa. (dozer junk yard, I love that place).
Had 3, 4, sets that sounded promising on the phone, in the end I bought to Large spencer cylinders off a d-4.
lots of new stuff. plus I got a bunch of hoses, 500 bucks crazy (everything seems to be gold) but there like new. 3500 max psi (I'm sure they will work)
Dropped them on this am, lots of slop in tool bar mounts, may need to ream, and bush all hole holes.
I haven't got a camera yet, so no pictures.
the reason I started this was because the darn blade was coming up horizontally, as well as down.
hope this cures that, tough to get anything flat like that.
Also, I'm waiting on my two pony electric start motors to be rebuilt, should be next week.
so, pull rope later today on the pony, got to run to the local store, and get some fittings for the new cylinder's, need 90 degree fittings, and some extra length hoses.
Next is to clean the hydraulic system out, its milky, got water in there.
going to buy 10 gal of new hydraulic oil, almost 50 bucks a bucket, man. Nothing but money, but way better than a shovel and a rake by hand . lol
thx
