What a cool canopy on the D2 in Portland.

You know now that I see that canopy I remember seeing a setup like that before on another machine (I think it was bigger than a D2 though) and those heavy cable supports were supposed to absorb vibrations better than a ridgid mount style. Interesting concept, hey o-i-h I think that would look good making the parade loop around your place!

One of my D2s has a canopy with cable sections in it, it really does absorb vibration and can flex a little and still does its job.

I have seen the canopies like yours with the short cables but had never seen one with a full coil cable before. Them are great pictures. Is that coming out of the timber behind your shop?

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
