I was told about a 1942 built D4 7J for sale near Goulburn in NSW, I don't know anything about the tractor except the owner thinks the pilot motor has spun bearings and the track chains are tired, looking at the photo's she is a typical old Aussie cable blade D4 with probably 30,000 hours on the clock and I'm not interested, if anyone is then PM me for the guys contact details, the property has been sold and he is moving out Oct 9th I believe.

Hi Andrew, I've got four of these old D4's already and a couple need a lot of work yet, so I'm not looking for any more basket cases, though I'm sure Ol Wombat, the Count of Corryong, would enjoy the distractions the Pubs of Goulburn might offer after a hard day spent pulling this old girl apart, provided he got home in time to enjoy a cider or two with Maid Marilyn.

Hi Mike I saved the D4 from a trip to China, it will be picked up and dropped off at Wombats next week for a trip to Gippsland, for a bit of TLC. OH and when i told the misses she was happy and i got into the apple cider as well.

(it was cheaper than the other one i was looking at).:whoo:

Daryl,

I am looking forward to it arriving, I have a lot of dead blackberries on the side of a very rocky hill that need cleaning up, I propose trying it out for you on this task. It will save damaging the tracks etc on one of my own machines. Pilot motor wont matter, plenty of hills here to run start it.

That 10 year old slab of beer that has gone foxy, you found out in your shed when you had a clean up, should do to give to Mike.
