Very nice D2, serial number 3J6945SP. Has rear mounted single spool BeGe pump and nicely made straight blade. I don't see any tags on the blade and suspect it may be shop made, but it is very well made and shows little evidence of wear or use. Tracks show pretty good rail height, pins and bushings have been turned, but have good surface remaining on the second surface. Sprockets appear quite good, rollers and idlers look nicely serviceable, too.

Everything on the tractor works as it should, including all clutches, transmission, rope start pony and main engine. It was used all its life on a Bakersfield area farm, was very well maintained and cared for. It is at Mom's place now near Bakersfield, California.

We'd like $4,500, but are open to offers. I can provide additional photos, including emailing higher resolution if desired. Can also provide video footage of starting and operating. We'll be pretty busy hauling in and preparing for Tulare coming up in April and Santa Margarita in May, but I'll try to get photos and videos as soon as I can for anyone interested.

That looks like a "Dakota" brand blade, well made and there are a few of them around.

I thought that blade looked just a little too factory to be home-made. All the shapes are cleanly cut out and finished and the welds are very well done. It also looked familiar, although I was guessing the closest I had seen was a Holt. We don't see too many Dakota blades out in the West here, but I think that is what it is.

Anyone have any ideas where the tag or markings might have been? This tractor has clearly been repainted, although it was quite some time ago. The blade and tractor both really show very little wear. I can't find any evidence that the blade was ever even in the dirt. No scratches, dents or anything, and all the joints are tight. The handles on the steering clutch levers are pretty square and the brake pedals have none of the grid or edge worn off.

Thanks for the identification help,

Pete.
