The long coil springs that return the slide gate back to the rear on the Model 470 scraper on my DW21 are broke. Assembly number 1J1074. My parts book does not break down to the individual springs only. I also need the rear bolt assembly 4H2967. This one has a cobbled mess of bird poop weld where it comes thru the back end. General Gear has no pans left at all in the yard. I have not tried the dealer yet to see if they are available. I thought I would try here first. Let me know what you got. Thanks.

I checked our northern MN spring shop yesterday about making them but they do not make coils, only leafs. Might be a shop somewhere that can make them?

Thank you Gary, I could easily swing by either of the places you mentioned on our trip back from CA in a couple weeks. I will call both tomorrow.

Theirs a good spring shop close to me if you don't have any other luck, I could get them back to Ricks place.

Are you hauling anything back from CA, been meaning to see if Wally has a nice set of fenders and seat box for a PV15 he would sell.

Your welcome, they buy old cable pans and convert them to hydraulic, the guy in SD said they take all the parts out when they change them over. Have a safe and fun trip.

Hi OIH,
some time back Josh posted the above Bulletin.
Link below should get you there.

Do not know if your springs have broken in the middle but, if the eye has broken off this fix may get you there.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

I did see these bulletins posted in the tech section Eddie. Thats good stuff. My parts book shows mine to have been built with the screw in ends. I have not pulled it apart yet to see where they broke, as it not home yet but thought as long as we are traveling we could maybe pick some up.

We have plenty of room for parts Steve. And we will be at Wally's at some point so line up what you need and we will bring it back. I will be up at Mass again sometime this spring. Turned out Rick lives next door to my friends inlaws home. Small world.

Eric in Andover has some springs but none that match the part number listed for a 470. He has modified a number of Cat 4 wheel scrapers and believes that all the models have different part numbers even though they may be interchangeable. He was thinking that springs from a 60, 70, or 80 could be the the same as my 470? Does anyone have the information to cross the part number in the top post to other matching parts with different parts numbers.
