Jeff the only diff between the two gauges is the rail height & the sprocket tooth. Rollers, idlers & top carriers are the same. The rail height on the D7 will range from 41/2 to 45/8" . The E rangered from 43/4-4.91". At one time the aftermarket had a 411/16 high rail just to be higher then Cat. that was 40 years or so back.
