I went and lost the small ball bearing that is used in the detent on the 5U's decompression shaft inside the rocker cover. Would anyone have a spare?

Neil

Hi Team,
Lance, the ball is not actually a ball it is a ball ended stepped short rod--or more correctly as per the Parts Book it is a 6F4210 Plunger.
Cheers,

yes, it is not a ball as I found out last night when it sprung across the shed. Fortunately I saw it go and found it easily.

I think you would have to buy new if available, or get one made or 2nd hand. Sorry mine is back in so I can't get you a photo.

When I checked in the parts manual (after the fact) I saw that it is a plunger. Turns out though that what was in mine was a ball bearing hence the original request - obviously someone else with the same butterfingers as I have lost the plunger and just stuck a ball in there - it's a wonder that it actually stayed in. Oh well, another request for parts to Milton Cat...
