There is more pictures on the website, i hope everyone understands the large amount of this sale,I wish i could keep all of it,I believe it needs to be enjoyed by other people, thanks for your time.DJ
I don,t know about your timing , scrap is lower now than it has been in the last 5 years. If you can keep a crowd for 5 days will be interesting. Was man Lonnie Calude sold a lifetime collection of dozer, farm tractor and trucks along with a lot of high dollar gas signs and pumps. Two longs days wound up what some say was a 4 Million dollar auction.

The type of items on this sale should of been sold to people who deal in parts privately. Who is going to stand there all day for 5 weekends, looks like the scrap man is the only person who is going to win in this situation.

There will be people there dedicated to the sale, as for the scrap, as long as I'm not doing it that's there deal. That's what collectors and historians are for,to keep from happening .I've done the best I could do with the property, I'm not gonna set back and let it be taken away, like it has been so I'm having the auction😀

Yes, it's gonna be my next resto project for next winter, he has had several pieces. He actually just bought a d6b , few years before he died, he was a cable man. I couldn't tell you how different crawlers I've seen on his property, always dragging one in,He built 2162 ponds in his lifetime. That d7 is the one I used to ride on when I was a tike , I'm 33 now.

DJ,
I hope you would seriously reconsider your auction format. Spreading out the sale over several weekends is a huge discouragement to us non-local Cat enthusiasts. If you could get the auctioneer to hire the additional help required, run three rings, it could be all done in a weekend. A two day auction with thay many NOS parts would draw collectors from quite a distance. One day a week, for several weekends, I fear most of us will just stay home.
Good Luck,
Rick

You couldnt get it done with three rings two days, there will be two to three auctioneers, everyone is usually off sat, to give everyone a chance, locally and distant. I have thought about it , till I'm blue in the face. Some people I have talked to do not care about the drive, due to the rarity of the items, it will definitely be two days, the additional dates are put on there in case, that's why it says call ahead. I have to be able to set back up during the week to get two to three rings ready, if it was summer and no rain, and people don't steal, we could do three in a row and be done, but nobody's perfect, I hope you come sorry for inconvenience 😃

One of my Favorite auctions to go to is Medima auctions, When Scott starts a auction he will make the statement that he plans to be done by 2 PM and he will be!
He will make the statement at least twice during the auction that he is there to sell stuff and if you want to buy raise your hand, if not he will sell the item and
move on. Usually the first few Items go cheap with people complaining but it sets the precedence and people learn. It make the sale move along and the people
that are there to buy don't get tired of waiting and go home. Loosing bidders because the auctioneer is selling the contents of a box piece by piece is crazy. I
believe in the end he provides a better service to the owner.
