You need to see if it is the Fine spline on the PTO shaft. I haven't looked at one for awhile but seem to think it is one of the ways to ID it.

Somewhere I had all that spline info. Can't find it now. I'll keep looking.
I believe there were several models of that belt pulley that will fit an early D8/RD8. Parts books will tell that story.
If you find one needing pulley repair...go to a company called Paper Pulleys in Columbia Tennessee for a rebuild.
