Hi Wally, there isn't a service manual for the 22 but apparently the 8C Twenty has the same engine and its manual does the job (PV15 too I believe)

PV's and 8C's are flathead engines like the 10's while the 22 and R2's are overhead valve engines.

Thanks guys - I had read a couple of posts on the forum about how to deal with the lack of a Twenty-Two service manual and a number of posts (I looked at four) mentioned the Small/8C Twenty, so I take it those posts are incorrect? If so, would you happen to know which manual would be the right one - perhaps it takes two manuals - one for the engine and one for the transmission/final drives/track gear?

There is no service manual for the 22 as you already know. One edition of the PV 15 manual has a section that would cover most of the 22 except for the engine. Form P-1239 has a back section that is for serviceman. It starts on page 41 and runs through 77. This, as I said will give you most of the information needed for everything except the engine. - Wally
