I did not see a winch either. I'm afraid to ask for wench pictures. LOL
Interesting connector on the drawbar. Looks like its designed to connect the chokers individually that are hanging around the fuel tank.

I think the explains the wench. The whole tractor is the wench (winch, wunch, wonch). Just back up to whatever needs to be pulled, hook up your chokers (use the nifty multiple hitch if you need multiple pull points), and drag it to wherever it is needed. Simple, easy, no extra maintenance, problem solved!
Second stack must be for pony, I see both weather caps open in the first picture, and both closed in the second. Either that, or it is a fancy modification for when the center Y casting between the two manifold halves failed. Hard to see that, though, they're too far apart.
Pete.

That would be a LaPlante-Choate tank on the side of it and presumably (some) of the other parts as well? I'm going by the shape of the oil tank lid

Both stacks are in line (pic 3) and because of the size I think it must have a split manifold. I think the starting engine exhaust is visible in one of the pics.

I wonder if the front manifold and y rotted off, and they found another rear manifold to replace the front and cut another hole in the hood for the second stack. Clear as mud right.
Interesting anyway.
