Its not completely snapped off but I think with the vibration it will snap completely off. Does anyone know what the carbs are made of and if it can be welded?? Does anyone have one for sale its a ensign bev1 I think.

Pot Metal, it is not easy stuff to fix.I think the stuff is so fragile due to the temps and amount of material back then were either off when making.

Pot metal is dreadful stuff to weld because originally, there was little to no control over what ingredients went into the furnace, so your welding attempts can range from good to disastrous.
Pot metal is basically zinc with numerous other additional metals, many of which inhibit easy welding, or repairs of any type.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pot_metal

There's a low temperature welding rod called Durafix that some people claim to have success with, for welding pot metal. Your mileage may vary.
You basically treat it like solder and sweat it on. The secret to aluminum & zinc welding, and all soldering work, is 110% cleanliness and exceptional attention to temperature of the heated item.
Clean the item with a good quality stainless steel brush, to the point where you could eat your lunch off it. Then apply heat very carefully and sparingly with a broad flame.

As Chrisco said JB weld it. Take a small cutting wheel on a dremel tool and cut a narrow grove part way thru the casting in the crack. Apply JB weld and cure correctly and chances are you would break it somewhere else before the JB weld lets loose.
