Looking for battery box lid for 1955 d2 5u was created by Bhullett0001

Anyone out there have a battery box lid for a late model d2 5u? I am guessing that it takes a rounded corner lid and is held down by a latch, not two bolts. I found a picture of what I think it may look like. I will try to post it.

You could try using the SEARCH function in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
I think Sasquatch made a battery box for his "U" series 3 years ago?
I don't remember what he did about the Lid?

You are correct Jeff I did make my battery box and lid but mine was the earlier, simpler style square box and lid, not the round cornered one like this later style that Bhullett0001 is looking for. This style lid is likely going to be a lot harder to find.

Part number for the curved lid is a 1H2139 and yes it probably is going to be difficult to find.

I have one of those Batt Boxes, i got for my D4 and it came with a lid :smile:

but the carrier for the batt is missing i will make something to hold it in though.
