Have this on eBay as of last night where I have a video on it but wanted to post a few pictures here too if anyone is interested. Here is the video link to it running:

This Caterpillar THIRTY is for sale at $3,200 obo (that is a new price as of 11/3 down from $3,800) in north central Wisconsin by Phillips, WI. We think it's a 1925 or close to it. The reason we think it's a 1925 Cat 30 is it has a lot of a lot of Best features on it like the early Caterpillars had. The tag is missing but the man who owned this has had several Thirty's over the years and he felt this is a 1925 due to these early features and the tube radiator. The owner feels there is a fair chance the serial # is stamped under the L-shaped bracket behind the firewall but he isn’t going to all the trouble to remove that. When looking at casting numbers on this Thirty we did polish up the flat area on back and see the number 30 by itself stamped there where the pen is pointing to in one of the pictures below. The owner who had this was explaining what he thought may be some Best 30 features including the early manifold and early stamped track pads with small track adjusting springs. And it does have the firewall on it and an aluminum nose up on top of radiator for hood to attach to.

It was at one time and possibly originally equipped with a snow plow and it even had a Cab, etc. on the owner said but the plow and cab are now long gone. Has mount on it for the snow plow yet and a beam on back. We believe this model was made for the cold with Caterpillar's options for their cold weather kit or package and was made to handle the snow in the northern Wisconsin area. It has a cold weather hood, dash and radiator nose. We do have some choices of a Cat Thirty air cleaner that can go with it as the original air cleaner isn't with it or on it now.

It does run, drives and steers great or real good as the video shows. Water pump leaks bad and need to be repacked is the only known main mention on it which isn’t bad for a crawler that’ll be 100 year old in 10 years. Gas tank needs to be cleaned too. It runs for about 20 minutes and will need water again but it does run out real good including steering. Plus has belt pulley driver unit on back.

We can help with delivery if over 500 miles for .50 to .90 mile one way. We also have for sale a hard to find CASE SI Military Tractor in the same location at Phillips, WI today too that is a 1952 made for the Korean War efforts (1950-53). $3,500 and it still has its U.S. Army olive paint showing through underneath the older paint and has all its correct military tags. It's not restored but runs good. Would be a great piece of history to fix up.

Also have a customer with a 1927-1929 era Caterpillar Thirty in central British Columbia by Armstrong, BC Canada for $2,400 best price and we are guessing it is stuck though we haven't tried the motor except by hand and the oil looks brand new in it. This Cat 30 is missing the magneto and gas tank as you can probably see. The running gears and sprockets, etc. are 95% so very good in that area. The fenders are gone so the tag isn't there but some good people on the discussion board thought it is a 1926-1929 based on the seat, springs and manifold. We do know of a 1926-29 serial tag available for sale off a parts machine that could go with this crawler. SEE the LAST PICTURE Below showing this other Cat 30.
