For sale is a Caterpillar D2 SN 4U1755. I'm asking $4000 which I feel is a fair price considering the work that was done and the work that needs to be completed. I have the restoration about 85% completed on this machine. I don't have the time any longer to complete this. The motor ran perfect when I started this so the engine has not been touched in any way. Most of the restoration was cosmetic with the rollers, and idlers being rebuilt with new bearings and seals. The machine has been painted the original caterpillar yellow color. The fenders were completely rebuilt using 1/4" plate steel making them more durable than the original. The only remaining main issue is that the pony motor clutch and pinion needs reassembled and installed. This is a list of what I recall needs done get this machine operational again:

1. Reassemble pony motor clutch and pinion and install (no parts should be needed... Just reassemble and install).

2. Install the blade mounts and reattach hydraulics and blade. (Hydraulic pump has not been taken apart or removed and worked perfect)

3. Install air cleaner

4. Set pony motor back into place (needed to be raised a few inches to allow for pony clutch and pinion removal)

5. Attach hood and side plates

6. Check fluids and bleed fuel system to start.

There is some other minor wrenching/attaching but should be minimal. I would assume that could be some incidental costs but again, no parts should be needed and only minimal.

Buyer will need to arrange local pickup near Vandalia, Illinois. A trailer with a winch would be best to load the machine but I can probably get a loader to load blade, ROPS, hydraulic cylinders.

The machine is being sold as-is. Was a great running and pushing tractor and should be again with a couple days of finish up work on it.
