I look forward to see it at some shows.
I am sure it will be running like a watch.

Come to think of it Erik, i haven't found the fuel tank either. But what I see is a big flywheel looking thing with what looks like it could be a brake band around it.

cojhl2 - It sounds like what you're seeing are the steering clutches, which are in the centerline of the machine at the rear. On the 75, they're great big spoked wheels. They have gear teeth on the face to the inside of the machine. The transmission output shaft terminates in a pinion gear which drives the clutch. Some of the 75s shift from forward to reverse by shifting the output shaft from left to right, which engages the teeth on the opposite side of the pinion in the opposite steering clutch, rotating the drive in the opposite direction. The fancy two speed 75s have a second ring of gear teeth further toward the inside of one wheel. To shift into high gear, the output shaft with pinion on the end is slid outward to engage the smaller diameter ring of teeth.

The steering clutches have machined faces inside the outer diameter against which wooden dog clutches expand to bind against and transmit power from the wheel to the drive trains, and contract to disengage. Some of the 75s have a brake band which loops over the top of one of the flywheels. I don't see that on this one, but it does have the little, thin sheet metal guard piece to keep you from sticking your arm or leg between the flywheels. Safety first! This one appears to have the smaller diameter brake wheels outboard of the main steering clutch, with the more effective full circle brake band. I can't tell if that's just on one clutch or both.

Hope this helps,

Pete.
