Hi guys,
mine has rust damage on the teeth - need a replacement - trans input shaft / clutch shaft 3H4137 pinion - it's the input shaft incl. gear to the main transmission

Thanks Dozerman, I checked Machinery Trader and got those in the list. I try to buy off members first to subsidize their addiction : )

Hi Jeff, yes please if you have this part. If you pull the clutch to transmission coupling, the part number is stamped on the end surface of the shaft. I'm "sure" I'm going to need some other parts as well, as the red rust cancer did a number on a few external parts too. I do have some minor rust stains on the bevel pinion but I'll run that as it for now.
I don't mind having to go back in later on, because once it's been apart once, then it's easy the next time : )

Jim, here's the parts diagram. Input shaft/pinion is top right corner. Remove four 3/8 bolts holding that housing and withdraw it toward the clutch:
