This is a very nice tractor with very little surface rust. All sheet metal is straight except 2 spots around both sprockets. I do have dust cover that is missing in the picture. Both motors run good. The pony motor does take 10-12 pulls on the rope to start with choke partially on. Very little oil leaks. Both motors look good, not covered in oil. This was an original cable dozer I was going to covert it to hydraulic. I have everything to convert it. Tank, valve, pump, cylinders, plumbing, or I have all original parts to keep it original with the cable dozer. I also have new old stock oil gauge and new CAT side cushions for seat. The backrest is new. The only part of the seat that is not new is the bottom cushion. I have creamed the gas tank on the pony motor. This tractor was used in WW2 in the South Pacific by the Air Force. It has original letter on hood cover and also has OD green under CAT yellow. Undercarriage is like new. This tractor would be an easy one to make look new in military uniform or original survivor, or just a good work dozer with a lot of life left. I am asking 3600.00 OBO. I am located in southern Idaho.
Updating post... The hour meter does work. I ran it today starting with 731 hours on it and it is now in the process of rolling over 733. I do have the Caterpillar servicemen's reference book, parts catalog book and the operation and maintenance instructions book that would go with the tractor.

I should have posted that earlier. It is a 2T5446 SP US. The hour meter reads 731. Sounds to good to be true so it probably is. I am going to run it this weekend to see if it is turning.
Hi jthornton-
What is the SN? I have a D42T also.
Good luck!
