I sent you an email Bill, didn't know you had any. I thought you might have them advertised in the For Sale section if you did. I did a search first and only saw your D339 pumps for sale.

I clicked on <a href="This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." target="_blank">This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and Outlook opened up and I created an email but it didn't go through. I don't use Outlook on this computer. I've made that mistake before.
So this morning I sent you another one through my Yahoo account.

Hello, I saw your post about the pump. I have a NOS pump , actually 2 of them I acquired from my late fathers collection of Cat. parts over the years. The pumps are complete with the swivel gear on the bottom shaft and a protective plastic cover cap on the top fuel port. So if you still need a pump, one of these would be a dandy replacement for you. You can either email me or give me a call at 253-212-7242. Bruce

Why can't I find the o-ring under the pump? Not the 2A3307, but the smaller diameter one that's about 1" in size. It's not in the picture in the parts book.

Hi Don,
the Part No 2M8663 seal you are after did not come in to use until 1961. It is announced in Product Bulletin Sept. 06 1961.
Not sure if early pump bodies have an "O" Ring groove suitable for its use.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Thanks edb, the 4F6921 pumps I have has the groove for the o-rings. That part # is original equipment to the 955 12A63XX that I'm working on, built in 1959. It had the later 8M9758 pumps on it. What gives?
Why were they introduced in 1961, was it to cure seeping or leaking?
